Boat Review
The Comet is a boat that is easily launchable and transportable because of the two-piece mast and lightweight hull. There is very little maintenance required and it is suitable for a single sailor. The sail area of 7.5 sq m gives you an exciting and fast sail, although the Comet is surprisingly forgiving. There is a spacious cockpit so it is very comfortable and even after capsizing; the small amount of water onboard soon disappears down the self-bailer. Not only is the Comet ideal for pleasure there is now a lot of racing clubs around the UK and the standard Comet is instantly competitive for racing.
