Boat Review
This appropriately named boat is for one sailor and is a classic dinghy that remains popular today. The Solo is available, as a kit, part-built or complete, so can be designed based on the owner’s specification. The Solo is not physically demanding but it can be quite lively at times. The boats are classically made from wood but now can be built from composite or fibreglass. There have been developments in the rig technology meaning it can be sailed competitively by helms from nine and a half to sixteen stones. The dinghy also has inward sloping decks to provide comfortable seating.
