Boat Review
Two crewmembers are required to race the Squib but it can easily be sailed single-handed in light airs for pleasure. It requires a crew of two to race it under ‘normal’ race conditions but can be sailed single-handed in light airs for pleasure. As it has a fibreglass construction with wooden floors and buoyancy tanks maintenance is easy. Most boats have alloy masts although some of the early boats still have an alloy and wood composite mast. The boat has a minimum weight of 680 kg in racing conditions, i.e. with mast, rudder, anchor, paddle, etc.
